Turntables & Mixers

This is actually a Tabletop Pottery Wheel by Artista. I was a potter before I became a cake artist.  This is my FAVORITE way to fill and ice a cake. I have both hands available while the wheel spins itself.  Yes, it’s pricey, but imagine the TIME you can save 🙂 Love it!

My second favorite turntable is The Wilton Tilt-N-Turn Ultra. I do extensive string work on some cakes and it ts WONDERFUL to be able to tilt the cake so the strings lay nicely onto the fondant.

If you are a beginner and don’t have much spending cash, you can opt for the Wilton Decorating Turntable

This is my least favorite Wilton turntable, as it does not turn smoothly. However, it will work as a good starter, and it’s a low sitting turntable if you need the cake at a different eye level.

Mixers

Bosch makes an excellent mixer. I mix all my cookie dough and marshmallow fondant in it.

I use a DeLonghi Mixer for all my icings and cake batters. It is a high quality, long lasting mixer.
